Every dog is different, so if you did not find your answer here, just write to me. I will gladly tell you more and help you work out whether my format suits your pet.
Should we meet before the first stay?
Yes — whenever possible, I always recommend meeting first. It helps us see how comfortable your dog feels in a new place, gives us a chance to get to know each other and lets us calmly go through all the details of their care.
How many dogs stay with you at once?
No more than two at a time. That way each of them gets enough attention, keeps their routine and stays in a calm home atmosphere. If your dogs are from the same family, I take them together — in that case meeting beforehand is required.
Which dogs can come to stay?
I take dogs of all breeds and sizes. Before booking we will always discuss character, habits and behaviour to make sure my format suits your pet.
Do you take intact male dogs?
Grown dogs, not at my home. But boarding at your place is still an option: I come to you, so the dog stays in familiar surroundings. We agree the terms and the price individually. This doesn’t apply to puppies: a male under a year isn’t mature yet, and I take him as usual.
Do you take females in heat?
No, unfortunately I do not take dogs for boarding while they are in heat.
Can I leave a puppy?
Yes, though it is decided case by case. I need to know the puppy’s age, routine, level of socialisation and what you expect from the stay.
What should we bring?
Usually, this is enough: their usual food, a favourite bed or blanket, a favourite toy (if it helps them feel calmer), a lead, harness or collar, and any medication they take. If anything else is needed, I will tell you in advance.
How often will I get photos and videos?
I send photos and videos regularly throughout the stay. Before your dog arrives, we can agree on a frequency that works for you, so you always know how they’re doing.
What if my dog has behavioural issues or medical prescriptions?
Please tell me in advance. Knowing everything matters to me — it is what lets me give your dog the most comfortable and safe care. If you are working on socialisation or everyday skills, or keeping a particular routine, I will gladly continue it during the stay.
What happens if my dog needs a vet?
If I notice any change in how your dog is feeling, or if an emergency happens, I’ll contact you immediately. If urgent veterinary care is needed, I’ll take them to your vet without delay (or to the nearest one if the situation requires immediate attention) and tell you everything about the circumstances and next steps. Your pet’s safety and health always come first for me.
What happens after the stay ends?
Once your dog is back home, you’ll get a detailed report. I’ll tell you how they settled in, what they particularly enjoyed, which habits and little quirks I noticed, and share observations that may help you understand your dog better.
Can you board our dog at our home?
Yes, in some cases this is possible. It is discussed individually and depends on the location, the length of the stay and your dog’s needs.
What if our plans change?
Please let me know as early as you can. We’ll talk it through and try to find the most convenient solution.
How do I book dates?
Get in touch in whichever way is easiest for you. We’ll discuss the details, meet if this is your first stay, and then I’ll confirm the booking.
